Keep an eye on: So many that could make some noise in 2023-24 … tons of work put in during the off-season. Expect Polk County to make some big jumps as a result especially with an 8th grade crew from last year that went undefeated in middle schools and winning the conference.

SEWrestle NOTE: Polk County returns State Placer Jadyn Virgil, but this is a team that has been on the mat quite a bit since February and looks to really make a mark in 2023-24. Carter Wade, Alex Martin, Logan Nodine, and Carson Bell all scored points at last year’s 2A West Region Tournament and they figure prominently in the rise of the Polk County program. They, along with Virgil, should form a solid core on which Coach Hensley and his staff will look to build. Kam Montgomery, Zalen McCraw, and Aiden Billings all qualified for the region tournament a year ago and each will be counted on to punch their ticket in 2024.
