Coach Bartolotta has had Brunswick amongst the best teams in 6A over the last 5 years … even when taking 6 to the state tournament in 2023 (they put all 6 make the podium). Three of those medalists have now graduated … Blake Ethridge, Comari Cone, and Sebastian Hutchinson. Still Brunswick returns 215 lb. State Champion Anthony Lowe as well as State Placers Clayton Hicks and River Creel. Brunswick will turn to section qualifier Thomas Clay as well as returners Stunnar Hutchinson, Aric Smith, and Tyler Alley to fill the holes left by the departed placers. Brunswick could have 3 on top of the podium in 2024 (Lowe, Hicks, and Creel all have the ability to claim a title … in Lowe’s case another one), but it will come down to how well Hutchinson, Smith, Clay, and Alley wrestle (as well as some new faces) as whether Brunswick is back in the team race in 2024. - SEWrestle
