Havelock qualified 5 for the 2023 State Tournament … each has now graduated leaving Havelock with a young squad heading into 23-24. Tyson Helton and Jovanni Romero-Simmons qualified for the 3A East Region Tournament a year ago and will be called onto lead a young squad this season. Both Helton and Romero-Simmons had wins at the East Region and will look to punch their ticket to the big dance in 2024. They are joined by returners Christian Walton and Christopher Bispham as well as a few freshmen that will be called on to step up. Keep an eye on Aidan Campbell at 113, Joey Pearson at 126-132, Jovan Garcia at 120, Daquarius Dunlap at 175, and Ryker Kidney at 190. The Rams may struggle a little with the new faces, but expect this team to grow by leaps and bounds as the season progresses. - SEWrestle
