McAdory put it altogether to end the 2023 season and claim the 6A Traditional State Title. They graduate a solid senior class with State Champs Hudson Waldrop and Savian Graham as well as 4 others that made the podium. That puts some stress of the returners in defending their title. Fortunately McAdory is well-positioned to be in the conversation again in 2024. State Champ Christion Griggs returns as does State Placer Erik Lessears, and State Qualifier CJ Mickle. But make no mistake … this team will only go as far as the next crew will take them. That means Coach Dutton will look to the development of returners Jeffery Locke, Tristen Jones, LaDarrious Poellnitz, Common Shelton, and Jourdan Godwin. If McAdory is going to be in the hunt - many of these wrestlers will be part of the crew that makes that happen. Keep an eye on freshman Braylon Hill who will look to come in and make some noise. - SEWrestle
