East Carteret, like so many other programs across North Carolina, is excited to kickoff the first official season in the state. Girls across the state have been competing at high level tournaments, both in and out of the high school season, but this winter marks the first time for an official tournament. In fact, North Carolina has featured a women’s showcase for years and this past season had regionals to qualify for the showcase. Coach Smith and the East Carteret staff have been diligently working to build up their roster. Ella Busby competed as a freshman in 2021-2022, but missed last year as a freshman. Keep an eye on Annabelle Grist who is a rising freshman and wrestled in middle school as well as senior Carlin Patterson. - SEWrestle
