Coach Jaime Lopez takes over at SE Whitfield and has to be excited about the team he has. The Raiders return a lot of talent, but none more so that 2022 State Champion and 2023 State Runner-up Olli Webb. Webb lost a heartbreaker in overtime in 2023 and has his sights set on climbing back on the top step in 2024. He is joined by State Placer Bryan Ruiz and State Qualifiers Areli Celis and Anthony Chacon. Roberto Rios finished 7th at sectionals in 2023 and will look to punch his ticket in 2024. This team has the firepower to push into the top 10 in 4A, but whether that happens or not will likely come down to the development of Reagan Gazaway, Luis Familia, Wykem Teasley and Alberto Rios. All four wrestled at the sectional tournament in 2023 … how the top shakes out with Morales, Rios, and Teasley will be interesting to watch. The Raiders have a lot of potential as a team … it will be exciting to watch them develop under Coach Lopez. - SEWrestle
