Coach Allen has Toombs in a great spot heading into the 2023-2024 season. They finished 3rd at both the dual and traditional state tournaments in 2023 and return nearly every hammer off that squad. Toombs did graduate State Runners-up Wil Watts and Tank Morris - which is tough when trying to make a run at a team title, but the level of returners for this squad is outstanding. The Bulldogs return 4 State Placers and 7 other State Qualifiers with a nice mix of both upper and lower classmen. Toombs has 3 Seniors that have been to the big dance and Brock Nobles who finished 4th a year ago. Look for Ben Parra, Gailan Wilds, and Nobles to lead the way for the Bulldogs this season. Dabvn Wadley and Jahir Lopez both made the podium in 2023 and both will be hunting the top step in 2024. But the key for Toombs claiming the top step as a team is whether Slade Landrum, Bruce Agzigian, Tyson Brantley, Parra, and Wilds can climb onto the podium. If the Bulldogs can get 8 placers they will be tough to beat. Keep an eye on freshman Wyatt Bunch as he works to make an impact in his first year on the mat for Toombs. - SEWrestle
