Extremely talented team that loses some significant firepower with the graduation of State Champ Caleb Uhorchuk, State Placer Jacob Winchester, and State Qualifiers Jackson Owens and Daniel Odom. Still Signal Mountain remains at the top of 1A and should be in the hunt for the top step again in 2024. Jojo and Ethan Uhorchuk both return hunting another state title and they are joined by State Placer Jackson Davis and State Qualifier Eben Shriner. Signal Mountain will be very tough in spots … from 106-132 they will be tough to beat. Luke Higdon and Oliver Green join the Uhorchuks to solidify the bottom of the lineup and they will be tough from 150-175 with Shriner, Lillard, and Davis. Carter Lynch will be called on to play an important piece at 138, Grayson Holliday at 144 and Carson Burkholder will be called on up top. Signal Mountain loses their 220 and 285 to graduation so replacing them could be important. Keep an eye on a pair of 8th graders that could make some noise in Christian Davis (113) and Kamden Smith (157). Signal Mountain is very talented and should be considered the favorites in 1A as we begin the season. - SEWrestle
