South Florence is just hitting their stride … heading into just their 3rd year as a program they had 2 state qualifiers two years ago and 5 last year. They do graduate State Runner-up Trokel Prew and State Qualifiers Jaylin Davis and Shikeem Shilow, but still return 285 lb. State Runner-up Justin Joe and SQ Avan Rosado. Given the depth of this squad they should be back making noise in 2024. Anoree Banks returns with post-season experience and the staff is high on Jeremiah Mitchell making an impact at 190. Keep an eye on the return of Jumaunte Westbrook who wrestled at Jasper (AL) before moving to South Florence a year ago. Joe and Avan will both be hunting the top step on the podium … how well the rest of the squad performs will determine how far the team goes in 2024. - SEWrestle
