Year in and year out, West Forsyth is always in the hunt for a 7A title. They’ve come close a few times, but have been turned away by some of the best programs in the state (Camden and Buford). This year is another opportunity to take that next step and Coach Goff has a solid group of upperclassmen that can get it done. Senior State Placers Noah Danforth and Reed Walker will be hunting the top step individually and will set the standard for everyone else in the room. A huge part of why West is in the conversation is that those two hammers don’t have to do it alone. Santhosh Bonda, Cale Ewing, and Joe Zereini all punched their ticket to Macon a year ago and each has the ability to climb high on the podium as well. If West Forsyth can get 5 on the podium and another handful to score points in Macon they will be tough to beat. Alex Blanc, Carter Amick, Walter Tinney, and Sean Jones all qualified for sectionals in 2023 and each is hungry to punch his ticket to the big dance in 2024. Keep an eye on Alex LeRoux, Lucas McIntyre, and Grant Miller. Each should have good seasons and have the ability to surprise a few people by making some noise as well. - SEWrestle
