Young squad with a ton of potential. Every State Qualifier from 2023 returns including 220 lb. State Runner-up Tyson Click. Relation, Cope and James Click all won matches at the 2023 State Tournament and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Samuel Everett with 4 State Placer in 2024 … in fact that is the expectation. The crew still needs to get the bottom of the lineup in order, but beginning at 126/132 with Colton Relation this is a solid squad that can compete with anyone in 1A. The dogs finished 19th at the traditional state tournament a year ago … look for them to be pounding on a top 10 finish in 2024 and if they get some help down low this is a squad that could really make some noise. Keep an eye on Logan Camp, Joseph Jones, Adam Fife, and Wyatt Payne - they will play a big role in how high Everett climbs this season. Two 8th graders to watch down low are Troy Ervin at 106 and Ryan Jones-Camp at 113 as well as senior Liam Durman at 126/132. This team might be one year away from really making a noise, but make no mistake … they are coming - whether that happens in 2023-2024 or in 2024-2025 we will just have to see. - SEWrestle
